Landmark Baltimore playgroup reaches 30 – year milestone
Children of the World Co-op celebrates “Flurry of Friends February”
Every weekday morning at 9:30, a crowd of parents, caregivers, and children fills the Undercroft at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. Coming from as close as Homewood and as far away as Brazil, India, and Japan, families come to the Co-Op for two hours of fun and enriching activities for their toddlers as well as social support and a sense of community. What began in February 1989 to serve the needs of newly arriving Johns Hopkins families has transformed into a city/county-wide community where families join in friendship, cooperation and mutual support.
To celebrate its 30th anniversary as one of Baltimore’s longest running children’s programs, the Co-Op is opening its doors for “Flurry of Friends February.” Families with their children ages 6 months to 4 years are welcome to join in a morning of free play from 9:30 – 11:30am. No appointment is needed. Please visit us!
